Overview

This grant, titled "Multi-Scale Models Bridging Levels of Analysis in Aging and Alzheimer's Disease (AD) and AD-Related Dementias (ADRD)", is set up specifically to support researchers who are working on developing multi-scale computational models. These models are meant to accurately represent the dynamic changes that come with aging and also with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias.

A wide variety of computational methods can be used in this research, including mathematical and computational modeling, image analysis, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The ultimate goal is to gain a deeper understanding of aging processes as well as AD/ADRD. The scope of this research should cover everything from molecules and cells, through networks, up to cognition and behavior. Note that clinical trials are not permitted within the parameters of this grant opportunity.
