Overview

The Office of Violence Against Women (OVW) has opened applications for the 2024 Fiscal Year Transitional Housing Assistance Grants. These grants are intended for victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking, and are authorized under U.S. law 34 U.S.C. § 12351.

The purpose of the Transitional Housing Program (CFDA 16.736) is to support initiatives that provide victims with 6 to 24 months of transitional housing. This aid is targeted particularly at victims who are either homeless or require transitional or other types of housing assistance.

The grant is meant to help individuals affected by domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault or stalking, particularly in cases where emergency shelter services or other crisis intervention services are either not available or insufficient.
