Overview

The Pathway Home 5 grant program is actively inviting applications for funding. The Employment and Training Administration (ETA) is prepared to distribute an estimated $52 million amongst 20 grants, with each grant potentially receiving up to $4 million.

The objective of this program is to offer workforce services to eligible inmates in men's and women's state prisons, or county and local jails, prior to their release. This initiative aims to aid inmate transition back into their communities by providing continual support once they have been released. We are focusing on eliminating any potential time gap between prison release and enrolment in a workforce reentry program, with the end goal being skills-based employment.

By initiating reentry services during imprisonment and maintaining them post-release, these projects aim not only to help individuals adjust to freedom, but also to diminish rates of reoffending.
