Overview

The National Institute of Justice (NIJ), under the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and Office of Justice Programs (OJP), is inviting applications for a grant. This funding opportunity, named the NIJ FY24 Research and Evaluation of Services for Victims of Crime, aims to support projects that enhance civil rights, improve access to justice, provide aid to crime victims and those affected by the legal system, bolster community safety, defend the public from crime and emerging threats, and foster trust within law enforcement and local communities.

Through this call, the NIJ is particularly interested in research and evaluation projects that focus on three main topics: analyzing the effectiveness of programs designed to help crime victims, investigating ways to aid victims of community violence, and examining the financial repercussions of being a crime victim. By funding these types of initiatives, the DOJ continues its mission to uphold the rule of law, maintain national safety, and protect civil rights.
