Overview

The Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) is inviting applications for the Natural Product Multi-Site Clinical Trial Data Coordinating Center. This initiative is conducted using the U24 grant funding mechanism and aims to establish a data coordinating center (DCC) that would work in collaboration with investigator-initiated multi-site clinical trial (Phase III and further). This DCC should align with the Clinical Coordinating Center (CCC) application.

The DCC's objective is to devise a comprehensive plan for the overall coordination of the multi-site clinical project. It should also provide administrative, data managing, and biostatistical aid for the proposed clinical trial. Attachers are required to submit the DCC application synchronously with the corresponding CCC application to be considered for evaluation by the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH).

The trials applicable to this grant should be pertinent to the NCCIH's research mission and considered a high priority for the center. For additional insights regarding the mission, strategic vision, and research priorities of the organization, it's recommended to visit the NCCIH's website (http://www.nccih.nih.gov).

Potential applicants are highly encouraged to contact the appropriate Scientific/Research contact for the particular area of science they are planning to develop an application for. It's suggested to do this before submitting for this NOFO. A Plan for Enhancing Diverse Perspectives (PEDP) must be included in your application, as it will be evaluated during the scientific and technical peer review. Applications without a PEDP will be deemed incomplete and will be automatically withdrawn.

For a smoother application process, always refer to the PEDP guidance material and ensure that all NOFO instructions are duly followed.
