Overview
CBA is defined as activities which augment and sustain infrastructure and resources necessary to improve or maintain system, organizational, community, and individual processes and competencies. The delivery methods of CBA involve technical assistance, training, information sharing, technology transfer, or the development of materials that enable organizations to operate comprehensively, effectively, and responsively.
The grant's ultimate goal is to fund organizations with the requisite capability, expertise, resources, and national reach to support public health infrastructure and workforce necessities. The funded parties are expected to carry out CBA activities in one or more strategic areas deemed crucial under this cooperative agreement.
Prospective applicants must address CBA requirements for a select target population within three categories: Governmental Public Health Departments, Workforce Segments in Governmental Public Health Departments, and Public Health System Components.
The CBA program follows a two-part funding strategy, of which this grant covers the first. The second part is contingent upon the allocation of appropriated funds and focuses on agency priorities. The second phase of funds will only be accessible to organizations awarded grants under this first phase.
