Overview

This information is about a grant related to HIV/AIDS prevention, care, and treatment activities in the Republic of Cote d'Ivoire, under the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). Although the Award Ceiling for the first year is zero, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) expects to provide about $4,000,000 in total funding for the first year, given that funds are available.

This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) seeks to build on previous PEPFAR support in Cote d'Ivoire. The main focus will be to maintain and enhance comprehensive HIV/AIDS services for patients already enrolled in HIV/AIDS care, support, and/or treatment. Additionally, the initiative will also continue to broaden access to HIV/AIDS services.

Simultaneously, the program aspires to strengthen the capacity of national health sector structures. It will contribute towards sustainable delivery of services, particularly within the health sector. A significant aspect of the program is enhancing the national capacity to sustain and further improve the response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic.

This will be achieved by providing technical assistance to the decentralized entities of the national Ministry of Health, Public Hygiene, and Universal Health Coverage (MSHPCMU). By the project's end, the successful recipients should exemplify measurable improvement in the capacity of MSHPCMU. This will be demonstrated by the ability to provide high-quality HIV prevention, care, and treatment services and sustain a basic HIV service package across Cote d'Ivoire.
