Overview

The NIDA Mentored Clinical Scientist Development Program Award is offering a grant specifically targeted towards research in Substance Use and Substance Use Disorder. They are inviting applications for institutional research career development programs (K12). The goal is to fund and facilitate closely-guided research training as well as career development for clinician scientists, also referred to as Scholars. Successful applicants will be granted the resources and opportunities to pursue their research without relying on other resources.

As an added flexibility, the program allows for the option of conducting a clinical trial. Overall, the program aims to produce trained, independent researchers who are adept in the area of substance use and substance use disorder research. The grant seeks to encourage research projects that will contribute to our understanding of these issues and potentially provide evidence-based solutions.
