Overview

The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) offers an Education Program Grant, known as the R25 program, which does not allow clinical trials. This program is part of the National Institute of Health's research education activities, aimed at enhancing the skills of the workforce involved in biomedical, behavioral, and clinical research to better meet the nation's needs.

The R25 program's primary goal is to support educational activities which complement and enhance these research areas. This includes Courses for Skills Development and Research Experiences that align with NIDDK's mission areas.

The NIDDK specifically encourages skill development and research experiences related to: diabetes, other endocrine and metabolic diseases, digestive diseases, nutritional disorders, obesity, kidney diseases, urologic diseases, and hematologic diseases.

Further details about these areas of interest and the Education Program Grant can be found on the NIDDK's official website.
