Overview

The Centers of Excellence for Translational Research (CETR) have announced a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO). In this notice, they are inviting applications either from individual institutions or groups of institutions. The reason for this call for applications is to participate in the CETR program which supports a wide range of research areas. The focus of the program is specifically on translational research centers that cross several disciplinary areas. These research centers under this program work on the creation, validation, and advancement of medical countermeasures. These countermeasures are designed to fight against bacteria or fungi that are known to resist current treatments and are mentioned explicitly in the NOFO. Please note, this particular program does not allow for a clinical trial under the U19 category.
