Overview

This notice concerns a funding opportunity known as the "Revision Applications for Incorporation of Novel NCI- Supported Technology to Accelerate Cancer Research" with an optional clinical trial under the U01 section. This funding opportunity is specifically aimed at the currently financially supported teams researching under the National Cancer Institute's (NCI) U01 program.

The goal is to encourage these teams to propose revisions or enhancements, previously termed as "competing revisions", to their existing research studies. Specifically, these revisions should intend to integrate novel technical approaches or tools that were developed under the NCI Innovative Molecular Analysis Technologies (IMAT) program. The purpose of integrating these advancements should be to boost the speed and progress of the initial research study.

The awards received through this particular funding opportunity aim to motivate independent verification of these emerging technologies and speed up the process of deeming them suitable for appropriate research communities in the field of cancer research. It is a part of the NCI IMAT program and as such, seeks to encourage inter-disciplinary cooperation in generating unique methods and tools to further cancer research and fast-track scientific breakthroughs.
