Overview

The Regional Initiative for Technical Assistance Partnerships (RITAP) is a program designed to tackle unique challenges and opportunities within carbon transport and storage management projects. The initiative works within a single geologic basin or sub-basin, where they apply technical, managerial, regulatory, and business expertise.

RITAP has a particular focus on contributing to basin-scale carbon transport and storage, as well as engaging with the community. To achieve this, RITAP sets up partnerships comprised of stakeholders who have extensive knowledge and experience in the field of carbon transport and storage.

The ultimate aim of their work is to generate valuable publicly accessible information that can assist project developers. This initiative is anticipated to accelerate carbon management projects that are both environmentally responsible and socially equitable.
