Overview

This is a notice about a funding opportunity from the National Cancer Institute (NCI). This grant invite is for revision applications for the Incorporation of Novel NCI-Supported Technology to Accelerate Cancer Research project, with the opportunity for a P50 clinical trial. Essentially, this opportunity is open for those who are already receiving funding from NCI P50 specialized centres. The primary aim is to encourage applicants to expand upon their original research or accelerate their study's progress.

To qualify, their proposal has to incorporate a new technical approach or instrument. This innovation must have been developed via support from NCI's Innovative Molecular Analysis Technologies (IMAT) program. The intention of the grant is to incentivize independent validation and fast track the use of new technologies within applicable research communities.

As part of the NCI IMAT program, the grant also seeks to promote interdisciplinary collaboration in the creation of innovative tools and methods. All of these endeavors are expected to enable more effective and efficient cancer research, ultimately accelerating scientific discovery in the field.
