Applied Mathematics

Submissions from both individual researchers and interdisciplinary groups who are developing crucial mathematical strategies are welcomed.

Furthermore, the Applied Mathematics grant is open to proposals seeking to host conferences or workshops. These proposals can be submitted through the 'Conferences and Workshops in the Mathematical Sciences' program solicitation, which contains crucial information about the substance of proposals for relevant activities, such as conferences, workshops and summer or winter schools.

Timing and budget considerations are also important when submitting proposals. For those planning to host conferences or workshops in the US, proposal submissions need to be filed 8 months before the event. For those seeking support for group travel to meetings outside the US, proposals must be filed 12 months before the scheduled meeting. Lastly, if the budget request for any conference, workshop or similar event is over $50,000, the proposals need to be submitted between the 1st and 15th of November each year. This ensures that the availability of support can be confirmed in a timely manner.
