Overview

This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) is for the R34 planning grant which concerns prevention and intervention efforts for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD). The NOFO aims to support research focused on two main areas. First, it supports the study and development of prevention methods to reduce the risk of prenatal alcohol exposure and the incidence of FASD. The second goal is to enhance efforts around interventions for individuals already impacted by FASD.

This funding opportunity is designed to support preliminary studies that pave the way for larger-scale prevention or intervention studies for FASD. If you are interested in exploratory phased projects, you should consider applying for the TEMP-23833, another funding opportunity which is also known as the R61/R33 option. The option of a clinical trial for this grant is optional.
