Multi-sectoral preventive interventions that address social determinants of health in populations that experience health disparities (UG3/UH3, Clinical Trial Required)

The grant mentioned in the text is aimed towards used to conduct multi-sectoral preventive interventions which address socio-health issues in communities which suffer from health disparities. This is part of the larger Multi-Sectoral Preventive Interventions (MSPI) Research Network umbrella, also inclusive of a Coordinating Center. All participating projects, funded through a cooperative agreement, will unite to share strategies, techniques, and data. They will work closely with various NIH Institutes, Offices, and Centers and applicants are urged to understand the Coordinating Center to ensure a solid understanding of MSPI's structure and activities.

This grant calls for biphasic research projects, entailing phases UG3 (phase I) and UH3 (phase II). Funds from the UG3 phase will be directed towards demonstrating preparation feasibility, and the capability of meeting specific milestones related to the proposed work. Successful completion of these milestones will place a UG3 project under administrative consideration by NIH for progression to the UH3 award. Respondents are required to address objectives and milestones for both UG3 and UH3 phases when applying.
