Overview
The objective is to integrate various research outputs to create scientific insights that can be applied to clinical care, public health practices, and personal wellness. The NLM's particular interest lies in making sure that the result of this research is scalable, reproducible, and generalizable so that its benefits can be widely received and duplicated.
The research domains that the NLM is interested in are quite broad. However, special emphasis will be placed on methods that introduce new and innovative ways to drive data discovery within the biomedical and clinical health sciences. The NLM also encourages the creation of scalable, domain-independent approaches to the discovery, organization, analysis, management, and curation of health-related data and digital objects.
