Overview
This grant invites eligible research institutions to apply for funding. The funds can be used for creating new facilities or updating existing ones, with the intention to grow the breeding capacity and subsequently increase the production of NIH-supported SPF non-human primate colonies.
It is required that these facilities should support research activities that are in line with the priorities set forth by the NIH for HIV/AIDS research. To qualify for this funding an applicant must show, in their request, the importance of these facilities to current and future research needs in the production of SPF non-human primates. It is important to note that the application of this grant does not allow clinical trials.
