Overview

The Mechanistic Research on Neuromodulation for Substance Use Disorders Treatment is a grant aimed at promoting clinical research in the field of non-invasive brain stimulation (NIBS) and its impact on substance use disorders (SUDs). There's a specific focus on finding and validating new targets for NIBS and understanding the neurological, cognitive, and behavioral responses related to SUDs that occur before observable clinical outcomes like diminished drug craving or usage.

To apply for this grant, applicants must include a Plan for Enhancing Diverse Perspectives (PEDP). This plan will be evaluated as part of the scientific and technical peer review process. Without a PEDP, applications will be judged as incomplete and consequently rejected.

Applicants are encouraged to thoroughly review the grant instructions within the Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO). There are also additional PEDP resources available for guidance during the application process. It is recommended for the better understanding and comprehensive completion of the application.
