Overview

The National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR) is inviting grants for research focused on improving health and promoting health equity. This call for proposals is for the R01 type of grant and it is open for research that includes clinical studies or may choose not to. The research project proposed should be independent and align with the scientific framework outlined in the NINR Strategic Plan for 2022-2026.

The research should be based on nursing's comprehensive and context-specific understanding of people and their health. The project should aim at understanding and solving the nation's most urgent and enduring health challenges. An integral aspect of the research should be its solution-oriented approach.

Finally, an emphasis should also be placed on using innovative and rigorous study designs for the research. The goal of these designs should be to provide valuable insights that can guide practice and policy directives in the field of health.
