Overview

The Grant focuses on supporting Long COVID Care Centers for communities that are underserved. To enhance their operations and services, safety net organizations will receive financial support. This will enable these organizations to partner with prominent academic health systems, helping them establish or develop multispecialty clinics.

These clinics aim to provide specialized and coordinated care for people struggling with Long COVID, sometimes referred to as Post-Acute COVID Syndrome (PASC). To extend the support network, these clinics will supply regular assistance to primary care providers via virtual means. This may include group peer-to-peer telementoring or personalized virtual or e-consult services.

Furthermore, they will implement ongoing data collection and reporting methods to monitor and enhance the patient care experience. With standardized data systems in place, they can accumulate valuable information about the response to PASC treatment, furthering understanding and potential treatment methodologies for PASC.
