Overview
Potential proposals could involve the development of tools that integrate existing theories or come up with new ones. This could also involve the creation of conceptual frameworks for organizing or merging data in order to deduce general principles about brain function. A proposal might also consider developing multiscale or multiphysics models that can generate new hypotheses, subsequently shaping future experiments. Additionally, proposals might suggest new analytical methods that can either support or disprove a stated hypothesis about brain function.
Please note that this grant does not support clinical trials. Furthermore, the focus of the investigative studies should be mainly on estimating model parameters and testing the validity of the tools being developed.
It is hoped that the tools generated through this funding opportunity will eventually become accessible to the wider neuroscience research community, providing them with resources that they can use and modify according to their individual research needs.
