Overview

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) is sponsoring a National Research Service Award (NRSA) Individual Postdoctoral Fellowship, also known as F32. The aim of this fellowship is to strengthen the research skills of promising postdoctoral candidates. It specifically targets those individuals who show the potential to contribute significantly as independent researchers in the field of health services.

This fellowship aligns with the AHRQ's mission and encourages research interests that are relevant to the agency's areas of priority. However, under this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO), applicants are not permitted to propose leading an independent clinical trial. They are, however, allowed to propose gaining research experience through a clinical trial. This must, however, be a trial led by an appointed sponsor or co-sponsor rather than the fellowship recipient themselves.
