Overview

The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) has announced that they are accepting applications for their Program Project Grant (P01 Clinical Trial Optional). This grant is designed to support collaborative research projects from multi-disciplinary teams. The goal of the grant is to prioritize and fund research that can lead to significant scientific results through the collaboration and synergy of multiple research approaches.

They believe that funding three or more highly deserving projects as a group will not only enrich the individual projects, but also the overall research program—creating a stronger impact than if the same projects were supported as individual grants.

In order to qualify for this grant, each program must involve at least three research projects that focus on topics vital for promoting the mission and objectives of NIDA. The teams selected will receive funding and support for the duration of their program.
