Overview
The National Institute on Aging (NIA) has announced a funding opportunity for the development or renewal of Alzheimer's Disease Research Centers (ADRC). These centers, which cannot be clinical trials, are situated at major medical institutions throughout the United States. Supported by the NIA, the ADRCs serve as a national resource for research into Alzheimer's disease (AD) and related dementias. They are dedicated to improving diagnosis, care, and potentially prevention of the disease by transforming research advancements into practical treatments. Furthermore, the ADRCs work in collaboration with other research programs and investigators funded by the National Institutes of Health to coordinate their research efforts. Institutions interested in proposing a new ADRC or renewing an existing one are invited to apply for this grant.
