Overview

This message is about the NSF-NIST Interaction in Basic and Applied Scientific Research in BIO, ENG & MPS. It's intended to promote cooperation between Principal Investigators (PIs), co-PIs, post-doctoral researchers, and both undergraduate and graduate students funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) with the scientists and engineers at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

NIST operates a wide range of instruments and measurement systems, including commercial equipment and specialized tools created by its researchers. Scholars from industries, academic institutions, and non-profit organizations who are interested in collaborative research projects with NIST researchers on topics of shared interest can access these systems as part of their research.

Furthermore, an appeal for supplementary support to current NSF awards can be made. This additional aid would enable PIs, co-PIs, post-doctoral scholars, and both undergraduate and graduate students who are recipients of these awards to participate in the cooperative research projects at NIST.
