Overview

The National Centers for Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NCBIB) is offering a funding opportunity, referred to as P41 Clinical Trials Optional. This funding opportunity encourages grant applications for Biomedical Technology Resource Centers (BTRCs). These centers serve as national resources dedicated to research and development of new technologies.

The main focus of BTRCs is to develop and hone these new technologies driven by the requirements of basic research, translational studies, and clinical research. An addition to their development, they also share their technological resources with other researchers. This allows for an enriching and comprehensive research environment within their domain.

Apart from these services, BTRCs also train individuals in the research community to effectively use these new technologies. This widespread training disseminates the developed technologies in a broader sense, helping the researchers in leveraging these technologies for their respective research activities.
