Overview

The Manufactured Foods Flexible Funding Model (MF-FFM) is a grant designed to further the mission of implementing a nationally integrated food safety system (IFSS). This is achieved by supporting initiatives that adhere to the Manufactured Food Regulatory Program Standards (MFRPS), reinforce safety and oversight for dietary supplements, bolster state compliance and enforcement infrastructure, and bolster state Food Protection Task Force (FPTF) programs.

The MFRPS' primary objective is to ensure that state regulatory programs dealing with manufactured food uphold best practices, maintaining a high standard of quality. The grant strives to enhance food safety standards by creating an equal footing to measure and improve the efficacy of these regulatory programs across the United States. Consequently, this leads to a uniform and reliable performance in the management of manufactured food.
