Overview

The National Cancer Institute (NCI) and other participating institutes are offering a grant, entitled "Secondary Analysis and Integration of Existing Data to Elucidate Cancer Risk and Related Outcomes". It’s aimed at research projects that plan to reanalyze and consolidate previously compiled data, with the ultimate goal of providing more insight into cancer risk and related outcomes. These outcomes may include risk prediction or reduction, survival rates, and responses to treatment.

This initiative supports analysis of various kinds of existing data, such as clinical, environmental, surveillance, health services, vital statistics, behavioral, lifestyle, genomic, and molecular profiles data. It aims to answer critical scientific questions concerning cancer.

Applicants are encouraged to think creatively and perform innovative analyses on these existing data. Applications can include new research objectives that make use of the existing data, novel or advanced analytical methods, and uniquely combined and integrated datasets. The latter should enable the exploration of key scientific questions in the field of cancer research. Note: This offer does not apply to clinical trials.
