Overview

The National Cancer Institute (NCI), along with other institutes, has issued a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for Secondary Analysis and Integration of Existing Data to Elucidate Cancer Risk and Related Outcomes. They are seeking applications for projects that intend to analyze and integrate existing data from different sources, such as clinical, environmental, surveillance, health service, vital statistics, behavioral, lifestyle, genomic, and molecular profiles.

The primary goal is to understand cancer risk and related outcomes better, such as risk prediction or reduction, survival rates, and treatment response. This initiative intends for the research to answer key scientific questions relevant to cancer.

The NCI is encouraging applicants to use innovative methods for analyzing the existing data. The applications can propose new research objectives that can be achieved with the existing data or new or advanced methods of analysis. Proposals for the combination and integration of datasets in innovative ways to answer significant scientific questions in cancer research are also welcomed.

Please note that this funding opportunity does not allow for clinical trials.
