Overview
The research should be conducted concerning the delivery of nanoparticles and nano-devices to specified, intended cancer targets within a living organism (in vivo) or the characterization of detection and diagnostic devices in a controlled environment (in vitro). The purpose of the IRCN grant is to assist the generation of essential knowledge, with the expectation of fostering more insightful future development of nanotechnology-based cancer interventions. However, the process of transferring these interventions from the lab to the patient (clinical translation) does not fall under the scope of this funding opportunity.
