Overview

The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law Section 40302 has created a grant program called "BIL - Carbon Utilization Procurement Grants". This funding opportunity, officially known as DE-FOA-0002829, aims to support the Department of Energy’s current vision for the Carbon Utilization Procurement Grants Program. This vision includes demonstrating that a variety of existing products can be replaced or supplemented by alternatives created from the conversion of man-made carbon oxides. The main goal is to show that significant reductions in greenhouse gas emissions are not only possible but also sustainable. The grants will serve to prove that sustainable alternatives are viable and can continue to be deployed even after the grant funding period has ended.
