Overview

This grant opportunity, titled "Implementing and Sustaining Evidence-Based Mental Health Practices in Low-Resource Settings to Achieve Equity in Outcomes," is a reissue of RFA-MH-20-401. It focuses on supporting pilot studies aimed at assessing the effectiveness of methods to deliver evidence-based mental health care in low-resource environments across the United States. These environments may include specialty and non-specialty settings in which evidence-based practices (EBPs) are not currently in effective use.

The target is to bridge the gap and address disparities in mental health and associated outcomes like employment, education, stable housing, integration into community life, and treatment of related conditions like substance abuse. The grant seeks innovative strategies to overcome barriers preventing the provision, receipt, and benefits of such practices and aims to generate new insights around factors key to advancing mental health equity amongst underserved populations.

To be eligible, proposals should demonstrate how these strategies identify and consume innovative approaches to reduce these barriers and provide fresh insights on crucial factors for achieving mental health equity in less privileged populations.
