Overview
Three distinct areas of cancer communication are the focus of the FOA. Firstly, projects testing new cancer communication surveillance methods and their utility are welcome. Secondly, the NCI is interested in the creation and analysis of innovative pilot interventions for rapid cancer communication, employing fresh methodologies and designs. Lastly, projects developing and testing cancer communication models at multiple levels, with a focus on two-way influence between these levels, are sought.
For these projects, the NCI expects applicants to apply communication science methods to study behavioral patterns and health outcomes in relation to preventing and controlling cancer. It would be beneficial if applicants employ one or more creative research methods in communication.
