Overview

The Mental Health Research Dissertation Grant aims to increase diversity within the mental health research workforce. This is a reissue of a previous funding offer, PAR-21-325, now designed to provide support to individuals representing backgrounds that are underrepresented in the fields of biomedical, behavioral, clinical, and social sciences research. This grant covers all research areas that fall under the strategic priorities of the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH). The primary purpose of this grant is to fund dissertation awards, which will assist in the completion of doctoral research projects. Notably, independent clinical trials are not supported under this grant.
