Overview

The BRAIN Initiative is providing a grant opportunity known as the Research Resource Grants for Technology Integration and Dissemination. Importantly, this grant does not support clinical trials. This program was created in response to RFA-NS-22-011 and adheres to DMSP regulations.

The goal of this grant is to support projects that disseminate resources and incorporate them into neuroscience research. More specifically, these projects should be directly linked to the goals outlined in the "BRAIN 2025: A Scientific Vision" plan.

Various activities are eligible for this grant. These include the distribution of tools and materials, training users on new technology or methodologies, providing access to existing technological platforms and specialized facilities, and making minor improvements or adaptations to enhance the efficiency of resource distribution or to better cater to the needs of a specific user community.

However, please note that applications focused solely on technology or software development, instead of spreading an existing resource, will not be accepted for this grant. On the other hand, the grant does allow for enhancements to microscopes or tools to better suit the experimental requirements of the end users.

In short, this grant aims to support projects that address the crucial needs of neuroscience researchers, specifically needs pertaining to the goals of the BRAIN 2025 plan that cannot be met in their current form.
