Overview

The Dissemination and Implementation Research in Health is a grant program (specifically a R03 Clinical Trial Not Allowed) outlined by a Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA). The aim of the grant is to financially support research projects that focus on identifying, developing, and testing strategies to overcome any impediments to the adoption, adaptation, integration, enlargement, and continued use of evidence-based interventions, practices, programs, tools, treatments, guidelines, and policies.

Particularly, grant applications that propose methods to equitably distribute and implement these evidenced-based interventions amongst communities that have been historically underrepresented are highly recommended. However, studies that explore situations that demand the cessation or decrease of practices that have proven to be ineffective, untested, low-value, or detrimental are equally beneficial and encouraged.

Furthermore, research proposals that aim to further the methods and measures used in dissemination and implementation research are also welcomed. Any research proposal applying for the grant must align with the mission of one of the Institutes/Centers mentioned in the announcement to be considered eligible for the grant.
