Overview

This information regards a grant opportunity related to child health research. Specifically, it pertains to the use of pre-existing data from a long-term initiative, the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development (ABCD) Study. This study, conducted by the ABCD, is monitoring various aspects of youth health, with the subjects initially recruited at the age of 9 to 10. The factors under scrutiny span physical and mental health, cognitive abilities, substance use patterns, cultural and environmental influences, and brain structure and functionality. The ABCD study is dedicated to consistently collecting this data over a span of 10 years.

The aim of the grant, termed R21-Clinical Trial Not Allowed, is to inspire researchers to analyze the publicly accessible data set provided by the ABCD study. This is in an effort to deepen understanding of adolescent health and development. The data is made available for scientific use through the NIMH Data Archive. Pertaining additional information regarding the ABCD Study and its procedures, one may visit the official ABCD Study website at www.abcdstudy.org.
