Overview
The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) offers a Research Education Program, referred to as the R25 program. This particular program does not conduct clinical trials. R25's main purpose is to support research education activities that are relevant to the mission areas of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). A major objective of NIAID's R25 program is to bolster educational activities. This is done by either complementing existing training or providing enhancement options. The program aims to develop a diverse group of professionals who can respond to the national biomedical, behavioral, and clinical research requirements. All these goals align with the NIAID mission areas, which include promoting biomedical, behavioral, and clinical research.
