Overview

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is offering Small Research Grants for the Investigation of Co-occurring conditions across the Lifespan to Understand Down syndromE (INCLUDE) Project. This project aims to better the health and quality of life of individuals with Down syndrome. These grants are issued to encourage superior small research projects that target the analysis of genomics and other related fields, as well as clinical and characteristic datasets pertinent to Down syndrome research.

The main focus of the research should be the exploration of underlying causes of risks and resilience to concurrent health conditions observed in those with Down syndrome. The INCLUDE Project encourages the development of methods, tools, or algorithms suitable for scrutinizing Down syndrome-related data and promoting data sharing amongst the research community through the INCLUDE Data Hub.

It's important to note that clinical trials are not permitted under this grant. The goal is to foster a better understanding of Down syndrome, ensuring a holistic approach in addressing the co-existing conditions individuals may face during their lifespan.
