Overview
This overview describes a financial grant called "Systematic Testing of Radionuclides in Preclinical Experiments" (STRIPE). This funding is not applicable for clinical trials. Its primary objective is to seek advanced, R01 type research projects. These projects should concentrate on understanding the impacts of various kinds of radiation – those specifically used in radionuclide-based therapies such as radiopharmaceutical therapy. The study should explore the influence these radiations have on regular body tissue, cancerous cells, and their surrounding micro-environment in the body. The research mandated should ideally leverage latest methods in cancer biology and suitable model systems.
