Overview

The National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR) offers a program known as the Dentist Scientist Career Transition Award for Intramural Investigators (K22). This program requires a clinical trial. It aims to assist skilled dentists who are part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Intramural postdoctoral fellowship by creating opportunities for them to shift from supervised research within the NIH Intramural program to external institutions. The program provides them with the means to become new investigators with their own research funding.
