Overview
The grant titled "Epidemiologic Research on Emerging Risk Factors and Liver Cancer Susceptibility" (R21 Clinical Trial Not Allowed) aims to support and encourage epidemiologic research. The main objective of this research should be on discovering and investigating new innovative hypotheses. It should focus on emerging risk factors in three main segments: biological, environmental, and social. Moreover, this grant seeks to explore how these new risk factors interact with already known risks such as viral hepatitis that have been linked to the development of liver cancer including hepatocellular carcinoma and other histological subtypes.
