Overview

The National Cancer Institute (NCI) has introduced the Transition Career Development Award in order to promote diversity. This award, also known as K22, is particularly designed for postdoctoral fellows or those in similar positions. The main aim of the award is to provide assistance for these individuals to make the transition to assistant professor roles, or equivalent positions. A core aim of this award is to pave the way for a successful biomedical career for these individuals, positioning them as independent research scientists in their respective fields. This particular grant does not allow for independent clinical trials.
