Overview

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is providing research education grants in partnership with the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) through their Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) program. This opportunity is known as the Research Education (R25) program. The funding is designed to support programs that provide training and education to bolster the national workforce in the areas of biomedical, behavioral, and clinical research. This is a limited competition, and the program does not allow clinical trials. The ultimate goal of the R25 program is to compliment and improve existing training methods to better meet the country's research needs in these crucial sectors of health science.
