Overview

The Exploratory Grants in Cancer Control is a funding initiative that encourages grant applications for exploratory developmental research. This funding opportunity, which also includes optional clinical trials (R21), focuses on various aspects of cancer control. It encourages research efforts into the behavioral change, screening processes, as well as understanding the cause-and-effect factors that lead to the development of cancer.

Furthermore, this grant aims to foster research on how to develop better strategies to control cancer. The program’s ultimate objective lies in assisting the initial and conceptual phases of scientific research that could significantly benefit population-based cancer studies. This goal might be achieved through the creation of breakthrough techniques, tools, methods, models, or applications that may have a profound influence on various areas of cancer research.

These areas could include studies related to epidemiology, biomedical, behavioral aspects, the delivery of healthcare, or clinical research. Through this grant, innovative scientific ideas will be given the support needed to drive advances in cancer control.
