Overview

The Emergency Rural Health Care (ERHC) Grant Program is offering up to $500 million in grant funding. Eligible recipients for this grant include public bodies, non-profit organizations, and Federally-recognized tribes. This grant will be distributed through two categories of funding called Track One (Recovery) and Track Two (Impact).

Track One provides immediate relief to support rural health care services dealing with economic issues caused by the COVID-19 emergency. Track Two funds projects that propose innovative ideas to solve regional health care issues, with the aim of supporting the long-term sustainability of rural health.

When applying for Track One, applications are to be submitted to a processing office designated by the USDA Rural Development State Office in the state where the project for the grant will be held.

For the Track Two application, it should be submitted to the processing office designated by the USDA Rural Development State Office in the state where the applicant's headquarters is located. For applicants with their headquarters in the District of Columbia, submissions should be made at the USDA Rural Development National Office, paid attention to Jamie Davenport, at 1400 Independence Ave., SW, STOP 0787, Washington, DC 20250.

Both electronic and paper applications must reach the Agency before the deadline stated in their Notice of Funding Availability. Paper applications are advised to be sent through a courier with package tracking.
