Overview

This text describes a limited competition funding opportunity named the Alzheimer's Disease Sequencing Project Follow-Up Study 2.0, also known as the Diverse Population Initiative. This competition specifically does not allow clinical trials to be proposed.

The submitted applications should be focused on various tasks related to genome studies. These include the acquisition of sample data, carrying out genome-wide association studies and whole genome sequencing. The projects should also incorporate quality checks, variant and data calling.

In terms of data, submitted applications should also focus on sharing and harmonizing existing data. This information will then be used to generate more data from multi-ethnic cohorts, with the resulting data being used to further inform the Alzheimer's Disease Sequencing Project Follow-Up Study 2.0. In essence, the aim of this funding opportunity is to improve analysis and understanding of Alzheimer's disease in diverse populations.
