Overview

The Army Applications Lab (AAL) has announced a grant for Disruptive Applications. This grant is under the Broad Agency Announcement (BAA), a mechanism direct from the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) for the competitive selection of research proposals. This particular grant is supported by legal authorities: 10 U.S.C. 2358, 10 U.S.C. 2371, and 10 U.S.C. 2371b, which permit it to issue awards for both basic and applied research.

For the purposes of this grant, the definition of basic and applied research can be referred to in section 22.105 of the 32 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR).

The AAL welcomes proposals to be submitted in accordance with this grant. If selected, they will be considered the result of an unrestricted, fair competition. The selection will adhere to the Competition in Contracting Act of 1984, a public law enacted to encourage competition, along with its subsequent amendments.
