Overview

The National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) is inviting applications for their Awards Supporting Cutting-Edge Technologies for Translational Science (ASCETTS). This opportunity does not permit clinical trials. The purpose of this grant is to encourage researchers to develop pioneering technologies that can address existing problems, restrictions, or difficulties in translation science, particularly in therapy development.

ASCETTS aims to support initial proof of concept, experimental technology development and high-risk studies that may have a substantial reward upon success. The focus is on initiatives that could revolutionize or significantly enhance therapeutic development efficiency. This aligns with NCATS's ultimate goals of delivering more treatments faster to everyone in need.

The proposed research should revolve around the development of technology that can lead to entirely new advancements or possibly take existing technology in fresh, innovative directions or applications. The NCATS expects that through this grant, they will be able to support the development or prototyping of new technologies to significantly boost the efficiency of the therapeutic development process.
